Wiston Estate
Wine
Set amidst the rolling landscape of the South Downs, the beautiful Wiston Estate is in a world of its own.
Hastings, of course, had a history well before 1066 ever happened, and the famous Stade Beach is part of it. Used to land boats since Saxon times, it’s now home to a thriving fishing fleet and the centre of the town’s Seafood and Wine Festival. This part of Sussex has long been known for its seafood, but the county’s wine industry is fast catching up, so this September event – which also features live music, cookery demos and kids’ activities – is a great opportunity to sample the best of both.
