Awarded Art Fund’s Museum of the Year 2020 and host to the Turner Prize in 2023, Towner Eastbourne has been collecting and exhibiting contemporary art for 100 years.
The gallery, cinema and public art collection presents a dynamic programme of exhibitions, film screenings, events and commissions by some of the most exciting and diverse artists working at all stages of their careers, for as many as 175,000 visitors each year.

The Ravilious Gallery and Collection Library. Towner has one of the largest public collections of work by Eric Ravilious (1903–1942), as well as extensive archive materials.

The modernist home and studio of the painters Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, Charleston was a gathering point for some of the 20th century’s most radical artists, writers and thinkers known collectively as the Bloomsbury group.

The De La Warr Pavilion is a pioneering cultural centre where everyone can enjoy contemporary exhibitions, music, events and entertainment in a Modernist building on Bexhill’s seafront.

The dramatic Seven Sisters Country Park, with its chalk sea cliffs, chalk grassland and the meandering Cuckmere estuary is set within the South Downs National Park, along the Sussex Heritage Coast.

There’s a gentle landscape that follows the eastern margin of Sussex. It unfolds across the Weald through ancient woodlands, broadening out to a quiet hinterland, a place defined by its three rivers.

Britain’s tallest chalk hill figure. There is no firm evidence about who he is, or why he is there. The figure is cut into the steep slopes of Windover Hill, and is 235 feet high.
