Rother Wine Triangle
The Rother Wine Triangle is a Sussex Winelands trail featuring new wayfinding signage and orientation points that connect seven award-winning vineyards. These vineyards form a triangle between Rye, Hastings, and Flimwell, nestled in the Rother Valley region of East Sussex.

Exploring the Rother Wine Triangle
Visitors can explore the trail on foot or by bike, enjoying each vineyard’s unique offerings—from cellar-door tastings and wine tours to dining experiences and seasonal events—all set against the stunning backdrop of the High Weald countryside. Many vineyards also offer on-site accommodation, making it easy to enjoy the trail over several days while exploring 1066 Country and nearby attractions such as Bodiam Castle, Great Dixter, Battle Abbey, and The Black Shed Gallery.
Alternatively, visitors can pick and choose sections of the trail to suit their schedule.
Crafted by nature perfected by time
The Rother Valley’s low-lying landscape creates a warm microclimate, with some of the highest sunshine hours in the UK. Combined with its unique terroir—featuring alluvial soils, sand, silt, clay, and sandstone ridges—the region produces award-winning wines using the classic sparkling method, as well as still varieties including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Alsatian Pinot clones.
